Role Summary

The IT organization within Corteva hasa challenging and exciting opportunity for an IT Business Partner for Legal. This role will act as the IT Lead that partners with the Legal division to develop and align the business and technologyroadmaps in support of their business objectives and strategic priorities. TheIT Business Partner will develop business strategic roadmaps that lay out thetechnology priorities and timelines and serve as a basis for translation intorequirements to be delivered. The leader will manage the IT investmentportfolio in a transparent manner to the business and be accountable foroverall delivery and evaluation of major programs and the associated investmentoutcomes.


This role will serve as the directinterface between IT and Legal. The ITBusiness Partner for Legal will be comfortable working ina fast-paced, collaborative, highly matrix environment, developing a strategyfor the organization and a roadmap to achieve strategic goals. This individualmust be comfortable working with ambiguity and demonstrate leadership presenceand outstanding communication skills.

 

KeyResponsibilities & Accountabilities

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and nurture IT's strategic relationship with the Legal division; enable and facilitate IT's broader interactionswith the business
  • Develop strategic IT plans and roadmaps with the business; providesupporting analysis.
  • Partner with IT CoEs.
  • Solicit core IT expertise, including Architects and SolutionDelivery Leads, to establish Annual Investment Portfolio following investmentgovernance processes.
  • Collaborate with Architects and Solution Delivery Leads to kick-offinvestment planning and requirements gathering.
  • Prioritize and manage IT investment portfolio on an ongoing basis.
  • Represent business/functions perspective in IT investmentgovernance processes.
  • Partner with Digital Center of Excellence to leverage digital andinnovation expertise within specific Business Unit.
  • Deliver on intended outcomes of planned IT solutions to thebusiness.
  • Business outcomes realized after implementation of IT solutions.
  • Responsible to develop and maintain strong strategic relationshipsbetween IT and different business stakeholders.

 

Accountabilities:

  • Accountable for IT investments and roadmaps always aligned withbusiness and IT strategy.
  • Provide thought leadership with regards to technology trends andtheir impact on the Legal function and the business.
  • Maintain relationships within the enterprise, and the industry;influence Cortevas ITs overall technology direction.

Qualifications


KeyCompetencies Required          

 

TechnicalCompetencies:

  • Experience in change implementation planning and management.
  • Experience in IT portfolio management and manage businessinvestment.
  • Experience in transforming Legal processes through technology andautomation preferred.

AdditionalCompetencies:

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to be more than an ordertaker for the business - must stimulate, surface and shape business strategy,portfolio alignment.
  • Superior communication skills, both verbal and written.

Experience& Education Required:

  • 10+ years of IT and business experience with increasing levels ofleadership responsibility in systems analysis and defining businessrequirements.
  • Minimum of a bachelors degree is required with preferred emphasisin Information Systems, Computer Science or Engineering.
