Enterprise Risk Director (Chief Risk Director)
Range of Responsibility: Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) program deployment and sustainability. Works with stakeholders across Corteva to develop and deploy a proactive, ongoing, robust enterprise-wide risk management process that enables intelligent, rewarded risk-taking and continues to protect Cortevas assets. Deploys and supports ERM program that will provide a common risk language, foster consistency, and identify and cross-pollinate best practices in managing risk across the organization. Works independently under general supervision with considerable latitude for initiative and independent judgment.
Other essential duties include, but are not limited to:
Aggregate, analyze, and report risk information to Company leadership and the Board.
Direct the integration of risk information including risk assessments and the status of mitigation actions.
Assess risks interactions and recommend means to address.
Support the Risk Committee in carrying out their oversight and monitoring responsibilities.
Harmonize, synchronize, and rationalize risk process across Corteva.
Manage improvement of Cortevas ERM Program through Executive Risk Owners, Subject Matter Specialists and others through existing risk response programs.
Manage the development and maintenance of an enterprise risk management knowledgebase including risk framework and definitions, and Cortevas enterprise risk universe; ERM process procedures, best practices and lessons learned; and ERM reference materials, tools and techniques.
Provide or coordinate enterprise risk management training and facilitation for Corteva.
Provide a risk intelligence methodology that is integrated with strategic planning, operations planning, and performance management processes.
Maintain interfaces with Internal Audit, Environmental Health Safety & Security, REST Steering Team, public affairs, CMT Steering Team, business continuity, and other related programs and functions (IT, Finance, HR, etc.).
Bachelors Degree is required (Finance, IT, Security, Business, etc). Masters Degree or MBA is preferred.
8-10 years of experience within Enterprise Risk functions.
Extensive experience in process improvement, program management, leadership.
Ability to navigate and build partnerships with key leadership across multiple divisions and departments throughout large organization.
Thorough understanding of various methodologies associated with risk management.
Must have a sense of urgency in completing tasks.
