Working in close partnership with country leadership and global business platforms, this role is responsible for the design and execution of the commercial aspects of seed, trait and breeding technology strategy and compliance programs across ANZ.  Is responsible for the P/L from all seed-related activities and key external relationships in the commercial unit. This role  Leads and manages the flow of information between multiple internal and external stakeholders  aligned to the global and local strategy.

  • Owning the ANZ Trait licensing strategy, including managing, negotiating and executing legal agreements for all existing and future traits with consideration of existing contracts and in alignment with local and global strategies and processes
  • Leading cross function teams with both internal and external stakeholders for the commercialization of new technologies and management of existing business
  • Leads and supports demand creation efforts for new technologies both with stakeholders and in end-use markets through ANZ
  • Overall responsibility for regulatory compliance, stewardship, industry compliance, industry representation and support for all Corteva traits and breeding technologies in the ANZ markets
  • Identifies and validates new business and technology licensing opportunities through recognition of un-met customer needs and internal technology offerings
  • Creates and maintains an active network of key technical influencers to understand market trends/gaps and support Corteva technology
  • Manages the monthly/annual financials for the seed business in internal reporting process
  • Key contact with Corteva global business platform and project management teams for managing investment projects and information flow


  • Broad communication skills and ability to create networks across multiple stakeholders (farmers, consultants, food chain, govt officials, technical experts and academics)
  • Able to lead a cross functional teams, including external parties to a jointly agreed set of objectives
  • Ability to connect global strategy to local markets and execute in alignment
  • Ability to recognize grower/customer needs and develop solutions (i.e. existing or new projects)
  • Lead investment projects through project management and investment processes
  • Strong strategic and long term mindset to design and execute technology strategies
  • Ability to work independently, as well as effectively within teams/networks when required.
  • Technical proficiency in understanding seed breeding and trait technologies in key crops
  • Technical understanding of regulatory and compliance needs for trait and breeding technologies
  • Experience in communicating value propositions of products/concepts to relevant customers
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Good legal basis for technology agreements and negotiations
