The Operations Coordinator manages the daily production requirements of the plant, regulations and compliance for multiple businesses. The incumbent in this position must be able to lead and motivate diverse organizations and product lines with a focus on costs, inventory, safety, and product quality. Must be hands on, multitasking, multi-company familiar, manufacturing, chemical, and agriculture experience will be a must.

This position offers an opportunity for growth into the COO role.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Ensures completion of daily production requirements for all scheduled products.
• Inventory control of raw materials for fertilizer blends.
• Plans, prepares and manages production of packaged and bulk finished goods.
• As needed, work with outside suppliers to facilitate the workings of the facility.
• Effectively works cross functionally with production planning, procurement, sales and marketing.
• Work cross functionally in the plant with Quality Control and Assurance to minimize quality issues and proactively address safety requirements related to OSHA and related entities, to maintain the highest standards.
• Communicates and interacts effectively with all departments and management to ensure the smooth operation of the process.
• Interacts with regulatory compliance agencies.
• Establishes Continuous Improvement plan and annual goals in the plant.
• Works with Management to Develop and Implement short-term & long-term strategic and operational goals for the departments in the plant, managing execution and measuring results.
• Reports to Management on production issues, trends, and opportunities.
• Manage and develop employees in the manufacturing facility
• Coaches, trains and develops team members to improve individual and organization performance
• Performs other duties within the manufacturing arena and other company initiatives as may be assigned.

Qualifications:

• MUST HAVE AGRICULTURE CHEMICAL BACKGROUND.
• Bachelor's degree in business preferred (master's degree is an asset).
• Production experience in quality, chemical, agriculture, and production supervision.
• Understanding and experience with supply chain, safety and quality systems, and policies for multiple companies desired.
• Experience in driving continuous improvement, in a manufacturing environment.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills both verbal and written.
• Demonstrated ability to direct, coach, and train employees.
