Summary

Join our team in Chinook, MT as a Yard/Feed Store Associate. This full-time position works Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, supporting feed, fuel, and retail operations. Responsibilities include assisting customers, loading feed, operating forklifts and skid steers, making bulk feed deliveries, handling inventory, and helping with front counter duties. The ideal candidate is dependable, customer-focused, and comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in an agricultural setting.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain bulk fuel pumps for gasoline and diesel sales.
  • Assist with bulk feed operations, including filling feed bags and loading overhead tote bins.
  • Operate forklifts to load, unload, and move feed products and supplies safely and efficiently.
  • Weigh feed products and manage inventory stored in overhead bins.
  • Complete bulk feed deliveries to customers as needed.
  • Load customers with bagged feed and other agricultural products.
  • Operate skid steer equipment for material handling, cleanup, and yard maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the yard, feed storage areas, and customer loading zones.
  • Perform general facility upkeep, including changing garbage receptacles, servicing windshield cleaning stations, sweeping, and cleaning interior and exterior areas.
  • Provide customer service at the front counter, assisting customers with purchases and inquiries.
  • Reconcile cash tills and process daily transactions accurately.
  • Create and maintain purchase orders and assist with inventory replenishment.
  • Order supplies and materials to support daily operations.
  • Support store operations by assisting in both indoor and outdoor responsibilities as needed.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures while operating equipment and serving customers.
  • Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
  • Perform other duties as needed or assigned to ensure facility operates smoothly and customers receive excellent customer service.


Minimum Qualifications (required)

  • Must meet minimum age requirement
  • 1+ years of experience in Operations and/or Business Operations


Additional Qualifications

  • Ability to operate machinery such as forklifts and skid steers
  • Ability to work extended hours during peak seasons to meet business demands
  • High School diploma or GED preferred
  • CDL license or ability to attain one with Hazmat endorsement preferred
  • Agriculture experience preferred
  • Forklift certiification preferred

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift 75 pound
  • Ability to climb ladders, stairs, and bend
  • Ability to work in dust and adverse weather conditions and temperatures

Actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors which may include, without limitation, experience, education, training, specialized skills and certifications, minimum wage/salary requirements under local law.
