Summary

CHS has an exciting opportunity for an Experienced Business Intelligence Analyst within our Internal Audit team. We are looking for someone who can extract data from a central data repository (using SQL), visualize and summarize the data in an easy-to-use format, and utilize artificial intelligence (AI) to design solutions. Coding experience is preferred as we create analyses, automation, and visualization in Excel, IDEA, UI Path, and Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate). This role will be important as it grows our audit team’s capabilities by providing data-driven insights on a project basis and partners with business customers and IT teams to leverage data tools and make processes more efficient.

Responsibilities

  • Create real-time performance dashboards using central data for internal use on a variety of audits, for example, Accounts Payable, Time and Expense, Master Data, IT ticketing systems, SAP ERP configurations, etc.
  • Be part of our Center of Excellence capability focused on achieving consistent high-quality audit insights by leveraging data analytics, automation, and generative AI.
  • Use tools to extract SAP configuration data to support annual IT controls testing.
  • Work with audit project teams on data analysis needs, obtain data extracts from business, and analyze data based on agreed-upon scope.
  • Partner with IT data engineering teams on data development standards, cross-functional projects, and knowledge sharing.
  • Create repeatable tests that could be used for a variety of audits, for example, fraud tests for AP data (such as looking at suspicious dollar amounts and Benford’s Law anomalies).
  • Maintain and enhance tools to track audit findings, actions, progress, and completion.
  • Assist with audit quality assurance and standardization.


Minimum Qualifications (required)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, or other related degree.
  • 2+ years of work experience with data analysis and/or visualization tools.
  • Ability to effectively communicate analytical concepts and audit findings to business stakeholders.


Additional Qualifications

  • Prior work experience within Audit.
  • Proficient with and direct work application of one or more of the following data visualization or analytics tools:
    • Power BI
    • Tableau
    • SQL
    • ACL
    • IDEA
    • UI Path or other Robotic Process Automation (RPA) tools
  • Experience using generative AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar platforms) to support analytics, operational efficiency, or standardization.
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Platform tools such as Power Apps and Power Automate.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, v-lookup functions, pivot tables, and macros.
  • Direct work experience creating executive level dashboards, analytics, and reports.
  • Direct work experience with SAP or JDE 9.0 in a data management or related role.
  • Ability to interpret technical accounting or financial information.
