Location: Surrey, BC Shift: Nights - 10 hours per day from Mondays at 9:00pm to Fridays at 7:30am - 3 days off per week Compensation: Hourly $50.28 and a night shift premium of $0.90 CAD, with the potential to an additional $2.00/hr differential if you possess a Power Engineering certification. Sign On Bonus: $1,800 CAD

We are looking for a skilled Journeyman Millwright, at our plant, you'll work on a wide variety of systems-everything from pump systems, elevators, augers, and conveyors to motors ranging from 0.5hp to 450hp. You'll also get your hands on compressors, airline systems, and industrial dryer and cooler setups. This isn't just a job; it's a playground for sharpening every aspect of your millwright skills, this is your chance to grow your craft in a hands-on, challenging environment.

Key Accountabilities:
Identify and correct any problems found in machines, equipment or processes in order to facilitate production
Maintain, repair and overhaul plant production equipment, building and grounds
Provide quick response to trouble calls by shift supervisors and or operators/technicians
Assist Operating Engineers in maintenance of plant utilities
Perform Weekly Preventive Maintenance Walkthroughs / Inspections / and Repairs on production equipment as necessary
Ability to put into Practice, corrective actions to effectively address reliability issues related to the above area
Person should be willing to get trained in the following areas, airborne ultrasound, thermography
Ability to take direction from supervisors and coworkers
Support projects include working on a project team in the design, installation and commissioning
Maintain complete & accurate records of shift logs, maintenance inspections and meter readings
Ensure smooth, efficient communication to the next team at shift changes
Actively finding new and improved ways of completing tasks
Participate collaboratively in process improvement teams as required
Any other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada
Cargill requires that employees be a minimum of 18 years old
Red Seal Millwright (Fully Licensed)
Must be able to perform physical job duties including bending/stooping, kneeling, crawling, twisting, climbing ladders, open/close valves, shoveling, pounding with hammer and work in confined spaces
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
Must be able to work under special work conditions, such as extreme heat or cold, dust.
Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
High School diploma or equivalent
Ability to work overtime, holidays, nights, weekends or different shifts
Must be able to perform maintenance trades including rigging systems, gearbox and bearing maintenance, lubrication, pumps and piping systems, mechanical maintenance and hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Preferred Qualifications:
Forklift experience
Class 4 Power Engineering Certificate
Able to perform maintenance trades including machinist, welding, pipe fitting, and fabrication
At least 2 years of experience in production related work
Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
Ability to operate heavy equipment
