ADM is currently seeking qualified candidates in high demand opportunities as highlighted below.

Fleet and Live on Deckhand.
The Fleet and Live-On Deckhand position is an entry level position into ADM’s American River Transportation Company (ARTCO), which provides the opportunity to learn tow boat operations. This career path includes work primarily on the Mississippi or Illinois rivers in various cities, performing such duties as rigging, building tow, prepping barges for delivery, and general upkeep of the vessel as well as assisting other colleagues in the ARTCO team. This opportunity allow Individuals with a strong desire for self-improvement to progress to licensed Captain in as few as five years.

Local and Over the Road Truck Driver
ADM’s Local and Over-the-Road (OTR) drivers primarily operate smooth bore tank trailers. Local and OTR colleagues are required to possess a Class A CDL with tanker endorsement and have 12 months of verifiable OTR or local experience in the previous seven years. Military training and experience may satisfy this requirement. Additionally, eligible veterans may use their GI Bill benefits for a 12 month VA - approved On-the-Job Training (OJT) program.

Ag Services Operations Management Trainee
Ag Services Operations Management trainees will participate in a 24-month program in which they will be trained in the overall management of Ag Services operations, including, but not limited to: general safety, grain grading and quality evaluations, people management, basic accounting, product and loss management. Additional training includes managing capital assets, repairs, troubleshooting and maintenance, regulatory issues, and implementation of safety programs and procedures. During the training period, trainees will be located at one of ADM’s Ag Services locations and should be prepared to relocate as needed.

Electrical / Instrumentation Technician
Colleagues in the E/I technician role utilize developed skills to implement the assigned activities of the predictive, preventative, or planned maintenance programs designed to support the power, motor control, process control systems, or pneumatic systems of the plant. Successful candidates are required to trouble-shoot, diagnose, propose, and implement equipment repair activities that may or may not be included in the planned work. Formal training, plant experience or military experience is preferred.

Maintenance Mechanic / Millwright
Colleagues in these roles are required to troubleshoot and repair a variety of systems to include, motors, belt, chains and conveyors, as well as basic fabrication and welding skills. Basic knowledge of hand tools and shop machinery is preferred. The successful candidate is someone that is willing to learn through on the job training or outside training resources. Formal training, plant experience or military experience is preferred.
