A Day in the Life:
The Plant Electrician is responsible for the electrical maintenance of the Destrehan, LA Bunge grain elevator. Candidate must actively participate in Bunge's employee safety policy and maintain a safe work environment for self and all employees. Additionally, this role is responsible for demonstrating a commitment to supply safe food, maintain a food safety culture within the site, continually improve the site's food safety management system, and comply with customer and regulatory requirements.
Position Details:
Monday through Friday, 7a-3p
Overtime, call out availability, on-call rotation, and/or straight days are required
Hourly pay rate: $32.44

What You'll Be Doing:
Plant wide electrical troubleshooting and repair (electrical circuits of 4160VAC or less)
Troubleshoot and repair variable frequency drive (VFD) and AC/DC systems
Troubleshoot and repair electrical components of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic industrial equipment
Perform general electrician skills including but not limited to running conduit and sizing and pulling wires
Follow, interpret, and read blueprints and schematics
Inspect for conformity to industry standards or specifications
Maintain electrical switchgear
Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
Industrial electrical experience (3 + years preferred)
Working knowledge of thermography
Knowledge of and ability to follow NFPA70E guidelines
TWIC card or ability to obtain a TWIC card
Good written/verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED
Associate degree and/or technical certification
PLC experience
HVAC experience
Knowledge of Studio 5000 programming software and Wonderware
