Sustainable Food Systems Intern 

 

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

The primary responsibilities of this role, Sustainable Food Systems Intern, are to: 

 

Update Bayer work with multi-stakeholder platforms, preparing an internal global meeting to review the strategy and mid-year status. On top of this the intern will define one specific project related to food, nature and climate to work with our team, mapping out opportunities and challenges and presenting it at the end of the internship its recommendation.  This included work with our market research team to evaluate potential interest for the agriculture industry as a whole.

Your success will be driven by your demonstration of our LIFE values. More specifically related to this position, Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

 

Required Qualifications:

Current enrollment at an accredited university located in the U.S. pursuing a minimum of a bachelor's degreein one of the following areas Sustainability, Global Studies, International Relations, Agriculture or Engineering;

Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale;

Volunteer experience at a nonprofit,

Experience working with collaboration, and ideally multi-stakeholder partnerships;

Analytical skills - ability to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources and synthesize; Exceptional written and oral communication; Must be well organized, motivated and detail-oriented; Ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet project deadlines; Ability to work in a team setting and/or independently; Demonstrate initiative and problem-solving skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Strong understanding of the agricultural market and food systems;

Experience presenting to senior level audiences.

Leadership role and extra-curricular experiences are valued
