Seed Production Automation Engineering Co-op 

 

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

The primary responsibilities of this role, Seed Production Automation Engineering Co-op, are to: 

 

  • Lead optimization/automation projects;
  • Support standard programming roll outs;
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement;
  • Improve operating procedures;
  • Assist in programming, scoping and supporting Information Technology projects (depending on background and degree);
  • Support MITS remediation for North America Row Crops.

Required Qualifications:

 

  • Currently enrolled pursuing a minimum of a Bachelor's degree;
  • Ability to commit to a seven-month co-op (mid-May 2022 - Dec. 2022);
  • Self-motivated with a strong result orientation;
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a deadline while being able to focus on details;
  • Strong problem-solving skills and an ability to organize (thoughts, data, etc.);
  • Knowledgeable in computing systems, control system hardware including instrumentation PLC and HMI equipment;
  • Demonstrated leadership ability;
  • Desire to learn and willing to ask questions and able to adapt to change;
  • Have their own transportation to and from the worksite, as most of the work locations are situated in areas with no public transportation available.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Experience with Rockwell PLC's and RSView/Factory Talk;
  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Ag Engineering, Automation Engineering or other related Engineering degree.
