PS Lead GHG Own Ops 

 

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

The primary responsibilities of this role,  PS Lead GHG Own Operations, are to: 

 

  • Be accountable to track and build GHG reduction portfolio of in PS across all operations and regions to achieve Bayer’s 2030 carbon neutrality commitment (reduction of 1.3 Mio t CO2e, 42% of base year 2019);
  • Be accountable to evolve and improve GHG tracking platform and ensure data quality (as required by Bayer’s sustainability reporting);
  • Be responsible for definition and implementation of the overall vision and strategy for carbon neutrality and net zero for PS global operations including capability building;
  • Be accountable for active GHG reduction target management (manage the PS carbon budget) and alignment with PS leadership functions;
  • Be responsible for continuing capability building in PS functions and regular update on policy and sustainability framework development;
  • Be responsible to ideate pathways towards Bayer 2050 Carbon Net Zero commitment for own operations;
  • Be responsible to partner actively and act as an information hub for Comms (CS, PS, PASS and Corporate) to share and amplify CS Product Supply’s sustainability progress.

Required Qualifications:

 

  • Relevant University degree in Science, Economics or Sustainability;
  • Five year experience in various PS or business functions;
  • Experience in sustainability tracking and reporting and/or design and management of global programs;
  • Strong cross-cultural sensitivity and intercultural experience;
  • Experience in digital transformation and cross-functional collaboration;
  • Strong motivation to lead cross-functional/cross-cultural teams Strong project management background and strategic mindset;
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Ph.D. or comparable business experience;
  • Experience in a position with a crop protection or seed background (business, regional or operational).
