Production Manager 

 

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

The primary responsibilities of this role, Production Manager are to:

 

  • Provide coaching and mentoring to area team members to help realize gains associated with process improvement and culture evolution;
  • Meet production targets and proactively identifies potential issues that prevent the site/area from meeting these objectives;
  • Drive delivery of site objectives, operational improvements, metrics tracking, and adoption of best practices leveraging team members and peers;
  • Ensure adherence to robust Health Safety & Environmental (HSE) & Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) programs;
  • Support compliance with global stewardship and corporate quality management procedures and policies in addition to crop level and site-specific Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs);
  • Manage all activities for continuous improvement and performance enhancement;
  • Facilitate cross-site communication by interfacing between plant, field leadership, and personnel;
  • Lead Daily Operations Reviews (DOR) with Shift Leads; taking local VM board components and applying them to the site leadership level to meet daily production requirements;
  • Support problem solving and improvement projects initiated through various methods including OEE analysis, 5S, DDS (Daily Direction Setting), gap analysis (5 WHY's), and facilitate implementation;
  • Position entails driving a company vehicle (pooled or assigned to the individual). This may include being required to drive greater than 5,000 business miles annually in a personal, pooled, or rented vehicle OR being expected to frequently drive a pooled car as part of your job duties – regardless of mileage.

Required Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree with at least three years’ experience in manufacturing, agricultural, engineering, and or technical environment;
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and coach people and teams;
  • Capability to clearly present information and influence or persuade others through oral or written communications;
  • Ability to make decisions and solve problems while exhibiting situational judgment;
  • Operational Excellence & Lean Manufacturing mindset;
  • Ability to drive One Team vision through improved alignment across business functions.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.;
  • Valid Driver’s License. Driving record (MVR) will be reviewed and must meet guidelines based on the company’s Risk Screening for Hiring Drivers.

 

Domestic relocation may be available for this role.
