Work closely with St. Louis team to plan and execute seed treatment protocols; Ensure inventories of all raw materials (actives, inerts and seeds) are adequately maintained Keep up to date in operation of all equipment in the pilot plant; Ensure compliance with all policies of the plant in terms of safety, waste disposal and permits (USDA, EPA, DOL, OHA, etc.); Support compliance with Global Stewardship and Corporate Quality Management Procedures;
Develop test protocols or provide feedback on protocols developed by St. Louis team; Working with Operations Lead, execute protocol, make and record observations, verify data and sample collection; Arrange for timely submission of samples for analytical work; Receive results. Complete data analysis/interpretation and prepare reports for communication to larger team; Identify any issues with all aspects of the seed treatment process (seed quality, mixing, materials handling, storage and application, formulation build-up, cleanability, environmental effects, etc.) and product quality (flowability, dryness, appearance, etc.); Share knowledge of treatment operations across plants to support introduction of new treatments/processes/equipment. Identify and help implement operational improvements and best practices and participate in related networks for cross sharing;
Work with Operations Lead to create, organize and store batch records for all tests and trial runs;
Packaging/Disposal of Treated Seeds:
Work closely with Operations Lead and the plant personnel to get seed packaged or discarded based on the protocol directions.

Bachelors Degree in Engineering (ChemE, ME or EE) or Chemistry Mechanical abilities (able to operate and troubleshoot equipment); Strong organization skills and ability to work on multiple projects at the same time; Aptitude for testing new ideas and explore new opportunities; Experience with Windows Operating Systems; Skilled in the use of Excel, Word and PowerPoint; Willing to travel up to 25% to other plant locations to seek/identify process improvement opportunities;
1 or more years of experience.
