Operations Coordinator 

 

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Crucial role in supporting the needs of site production operations, skilled at building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders and responsible for partnering at various levels of the organization to drive strategic and operational effectiveness. This Operations Coordinator will support the Lubbock Facility by coordinating inventory management, procurement, contractor/vendor management, and work order maintenance planning. This role will support the maintenance and productions teams, End to End team, and externals partners for asset management. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, collaborative, and either experience in SAP/inventory management or willing to learn the system.  

 

The primary responsibilities of this role, Operations Coordinator, are to:

 

  • Assist staff in operational activities pertaining to delegated area of expertise; including but not limited to HSE, grower accounting, field operations, plant operations, human resources, accounts payable, procurement, maintenance administration, and/or other areas defined by leadership;?
  • Participates in community outreach event(s) representing the site;?
  • Enters and validates information into computer/data systems; ?
  • Assists with the onboarding/offboarding of site employees; ?
  • With some supervision, reviews and processes freight payments, bulk shipments and schedule deliveries; ?
  • Follows and communicates payroll policies and performs audits to ensure polices are adhered to;?
  • Supports site initiatives and Production System improvements; ?
  • Assists with grower pricing, maintains contract/grower vendor data in SAP and inbound/outbound trucking fleet during Harvest operations; ?
  • Understands the site accounts payable process and completes payments to vendors;?
  • Supports the site expense management program and assists site employees with completion of expense reports;?
  • Supports with Production Orders, inventory management and SAP data entering.
  • Position entails driving a company vehicle (pooled or assigned to the individual). This may include being required to drive greater than 5,000 business miles annually in a personal, pooled, or rented vehicle OR being expected to frequently drive a pooled car as part of your job duties - regardless of mileage.

 

WHO YOU ARE

 

Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

 

Required Qualifications:

 

  • High School Diploma or GED with relevant experience in a manufacturing, production, maintenance environment and/or related environment;
  • Valid Driver's License. In order to be eligible to drive a company car, your driving record must meet guidelines based on the company's Risk Screening for Hiring Drivers - MVR will be reviewed as part of pre-employment screening;
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal);?
  • Organization and prioritization skills and attention to detail; ?
  • Understanding of manufacturing and/or desire to learn agriculture operations;?
  • Strong customer focus;?
  • Knowledge and experience with MS Office Suite such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc..;
  • Ability to rapidly connect and analyze data;?
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 60 lbs;
  • Ability to communicate complex analytical insights in a precise and actional manner.

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

 

  • High School Diploma plus 3 years relevant experience manufacturing, production, maintenance environment and/or related environment OR AA/BS degree with no relevant experience.

 

Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $64,080.00 and $96,120.00.  Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc. This salary range is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant's location, market data/ranges, an applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
