Operations Associate Planning & Optimization 




The primary responsibilities of this role, Operations Associate Planning and Optimization, are to: 


  • Monitor metrics, analyze data and implement operational plans to execute on time seed production and delivery;
  • Conduct statistical analysis for complex experimental designs and modeling projects and develop predictive models using agronomic, geospatial or other high-dimensional data;
  • Transform large amounts of diverse data into descriptive knowledge using advanced analysis;
  • Advise on opportunities for implementing consistency and standardization of metric identification, collection techniques and process improvement across workflow's;
  • Implement changes identified in process improvement initiatives;
  • Support areas across the plant production in driving the adoption and execution of continuous improvement practices;
  • Work closely with IT teams and business liaisons towards achieving strategic and operational excellence;
  • Present compelling, validated analysis to all levels of organization, including peers, senior management and internal customers to drive both strategic and operational changes in business;
  • Collaborate with Community Outreach and Planet Impact initiatives.




 Your success will be driven by your demonstration of our LIFE values.  More specifically related to this position, Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:


Required Qualifications: 


  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Computer Sciences, Statistics, Management Science or related fields;
  • At least two years of relevant experience in one or more of the following areas: project planning, data analysis, optimization, demand and capacity scheduling, or a related field;
  • Advance handling of Microsoft Office;
  • Fluent in Spanish and English language, written and conversational;
  • Experience in organizing, transforming data sets in preparation for analysis;
  • Proven ability to handle and manipulate large datasets, at a minimum pulling from and/or using relational databases;
  • Demonstrate ability to take data driven decisions;
  • Demonstrated experience working in a collaborative team-based environment;
  • Ability to work extended hours during peak operational seasons;
  • Experience with Statistical and Mathematical programming packages;
  • Experience with data queries in SQL and database relations and models.


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Prior agriculture experience.


Domestic Relocation may be provided for this role.
