North America Sr Credit Analyst 




The primary responsibilities of this role, NA Senior Credit Analyst, are to: 


  • Customer Credit Portfolio and Risk Management;
    • Account ownership for all related processes for assigned portfolio across North American Environmental Science business segments;
    • Assess, Recommend and Negotiate key risk mitigation strategies that maximize sales while managing risk;
    • Analyze customer credit, financial and industry information to make best decisions for the company;
    • Ensure compliance with credit policy, procedures, and internal controls;
    • Lead / facilitate the establishment of credit lines, terms negotiation and conditions of the extension;
    • Approve release of orders and shipments;
    • Manage the complexity of multiple payment terms for a diverse customer base;
    • Builds and leverages external company relationships to get credit references and stay abreast of industry trends;
    • Identify, design, develop, test and implement process improvements, IT enhancements;
  • Financial Reporting and Analysis;
    • Generate ad-hoc financial reports to gain insights on the customer portfolio and guide management decisions
  • Business Partner;
    • Develop and leverage relationships with customers, business partners, field sales and customer operations;
    • Partner with Sales to find solutions to grow and retain sales while managing risk;
    • Collaborate with cross-functional key stakeholders to train, develop, support and communicate respectfully on credit related matters;
    • Act as key liaison between the credit team and other business functions;
  • Legal and Collections Support;
    • Maintain and clean customer aged items through account reconciliations, problem solving, financial analysis, negotiations, and collections;
    • Provide oversight of legal document requests for court filings, affidavits, bankruptcy confirmations;
    • Proven problem-solving ability, including a strong sense of urgency leading to issue resolution
    • Experienced in cross-functional process improvements, project management and change management;
  • Systems;
    • Learns new systems quickly and in highly organized fashion;
    • Possess strong knowledge of Excel and other MS Office applications
    • Experience with MS D365 ERP a plus

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance or related field;
  • At least seven years of related experience in finance or accounting, preferably in the credit or at least five years with a Master’s Degree.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Very strong interpersonal and leadership skills;
  • Solid analytical sills;
  • Ability to solve a variety of customer and operational process issues;
  • Customer service attitude is required and necessary for success in this role;
  • Certified Credit Executive (CCE) Certification;
  • Knowledge of credit and collection laws, bankruptcy process, credit risk evaluation skills;
  • Customer service interaction and relationship management experience;
  • Experience with MS D365 ERP
