YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

The primary responsibilities of this role, Environmental Operations Engineer, are to: 

 

  • Drive environmental compliance projects through technology identification/evaluation/selection, supplier selection, process optimization, and new process/technology launch;
  • Evaluate environmental technologies at lab/bench/pilot scales to implement at production sites for environmental compliance;
  • Provide technical support for safety reviews, operational excellence, and management of change at production sites;
  • Troubleshoot and resolve environmental process upsets/issues at production sites;
  • Collaborate and communicate cross-functionally to support the advancement of environmental compliance projects with key partners at the Production Sites, E&T, EMEX, Capital Engineering, Environmental Regulatory, Quality and Health, Safety and Environment (HSE);
  • Assure scientific and technological excellence and project leadership;
  • Ensure high safety standards and continuous improvement within the area of responsibility.

Required Qualifications:

 

  • PhD degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related field with at last 2 years relevant experience, Master of Science Degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience, or Bachelor of Science degree with at least 7 years of relevant experience;
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team and lead through influence in multifunctional and international teams;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently and drive collaborative projects forward
