E&I Reliability Engineer 




The primary responsibilities of this role, E&I Reliability Engineer, are to: 


  • Develop optimization / improvement strategies based on systems analysis and performance metrics;
  • Work with zone engineers to develop Reliability Plans Engineer equipment improvements to increase equipment on-stream time and maintainability;
  • Support the implementation of reliability improvement projects;
  • Evaluate and validate effectiveness of improvement efforts;
  • Perform Root Cause Failure Analysis on major equipment failures;
  • Provide leadership to the Luling Functional Safety Program by maintaining interlock database, attending site specific and corporate Functional Safety meetings;
  • Participate on the Luling Functional Safety/Process Safety Interlock Steering Committee;
  • Provide technical leadership on specialty maintenance functions (listed below);
  • Track cost savings associated with Continuous Improvement efforts;
  • Provide technical support with the development of Shutdown Work Scope;
  • Provide technical support during execution of critical S/D work;
  • Provide work direction and leadership to Reliability Technicians;
  • Serve as the Plantwide AMS lead for Luling.

Required Qualifications:


  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with at least eight years’ experience in engineering;
  • Ability to work as an individual contributor and as part of a diverse team composed of fellow engineers, operations personnel, maintenance personnel and leadership;
  • Strong communications skills, both oral and written;
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills;
  • Be able to perform work in a manufacturing plant environment, including ascending/descending stairs and ladders;
  • Computer proficiency in Windows based programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook);
  • Strong Safety ethic.
