Carbon Business Development Lead 

 

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This position can be residence based Missouri, Illinois, Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, California, North Carolina, or Washington.

 

The primary responsibilities of this role, Carbon Business Development Lead are to:

 

  • Lead development of proposals and presentations for carbon business materials to create a significant business opportunity pipeline and nurture business partnerships;
  • Manage proposal response process, including detailed Request for Proposal (RFP) requirements, content creation, and inputs from various sources;
  • Generate new leads, identify and contact decision-makers, screen potential business opportunities, select the deals in line with strategies, and lead and facilitate pitch logistics;
  • Develop and implement overarching outbound sales and business development strategy, sales processes, structure, and best practices across the company;
  • Support deal structure and pricing with business value analysis; negotiate prices for proactive bids and proposals;
  • Identify trends and customer needs to build a short/medium/long-term sales pipeline in accordance with targets;
  • Monitor and evaluate industry trends and customer drivers and meet regularly with management and stakeholders to discuss strategy;
  • Develop strategies and positions to strengthen the Bayer Carbon program;
  • Assist in the coordination and implementation of marketing strategies, and delegate tasks that achieve strategic goals;
  • Maintain and share professional knowledge through education, networking, events, and presentations.

Required Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree;
  • Five years of experience in Business Insights, digital agriculture, and or Product Management;
  • Ability to lead and influence key stakeholders through challenges and opportunities; facilitates solutions;
  • Strategic, critical thinker across complex situations; Understanding of Return on Investment (ROI) on key investments;
  • Results orientation with demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects or priorities simultaneously
  • Excellent oral, written, and communication skills to onboard, motivate & engage others at all levels of the organization;
  • Working experience with sales techniques;
  • Proficiency with data analysis, forecasting, and budgeting;
  • Proven ability to plan and manage resources.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Masters or Master of Business Administration.
