(Product verification, Consignor & Consignee applicable labeling, TDG and WHMIS documentation and labeling, SDS's, etc.)Formulafor Success: You Will...Operate a forklift truck to move merchandise, load & unload carriers, repack and re-label products, to meet internal & external customer needs and requirements.Provide necessary professional skills and expertise to allow for the most efficient Material Handling and Storage at the Blackie Warehouse and Site. Assist with various tasks around package preparation, labeling and filling.
Observe, internalizes and practices safety at all times.
Preparesscheduled shipments by priority after they have been released from ShipmentsQueue for delivery to BASF Canada customers. Physically prepares and checksmerchandise for daily scheduled shipments.
Completesrequired Quality checks. This includesverification of C of A receipt and checking to ensure that special requirementshave been met.
Stage,label and fill material into totes/drums as required.Operatesa forklift truck to move merchandise, load carriers, repack / re-palletize productsto meet all customer requirements.
Observesand practices safety at all times; through training and experiences, observessafety rules shows knowledgeable respect in handling dangerous goods, and allother products.
Ingredientsfor Success: What We Look for in You...
A High School diploma is required. Two years of experience with shipping, receiving, or warehouse management system duties is preferred
Thorough knowledge of Shipping & Receiving and other relevant Physical Distribution procedures.
Must be accurate and time sensitive, both elements are integral requirements in this environment.
Must be a team player with good communication skills.
Ability to work in a stressful and pressured environment in order to meet high customer demands and expectations.
Must be trained / certified in Forklift Truck operations. When operating forklift truck, must be alert and use caution as others are working in area.
