Summer Research Associate

 

Contract Duration : 4 months (May – August)

 

Location: London, Ontario

 

Job duties include:

 

  • Support the research program and help develop agricultural products for Canadian growers
  • Small plot trials run at research farms
  • Seed, spray, evaluate, maintain, harvest and summarize plot results
  •  

  • Ability to work within a team atmosphere
  •  

  • Attention to detail and good communication skills
  •  

  • Experience will be gained in crop production, trial methodology, pest identification and management and chemistry and laboratory experience

    Qualifications: 

     

  • Enrolled/recently completed an agriculture science or related degree program (e.g. environmental science, biology etc.)
  •  

  • High level of enthusiasm and strong commitment to gain experience in field research and the agricultural industry
  •  

  • An understanding of agricultural practices and farm equipment is an asset
  •  

  • Valid Driver‘s License
