Where the Chemistry Happens…

 

  • The SAP Integration Engineer/Project Manager provides customized connectivity solutions for internal partners and external companies (VANs). Depending on experience and professional background (seniority level), the consultant will be responsible for supplemental tasks in the daily operation e.g. operational support (2nd/3rd level), issue resolving, quality assurance and business interaction. The roles includes also necessary support for any project assignments.
  •  

  • The SAP Integration Engineer/Project Manager supports our internal and external customers to detail their requirements and translates those into best-in-class Solution Designs based on deep business and process knowledge - aligned with process design and architecture.
  •  

  • The consultant works in a global, international setting for BPI DevOps, interacting with team members in other all regions in order to provide sustainable solutions for our partners.
  •  

  • Additional work aspects: contribution to IT architecture (regional/global), Connectivity solution spaces supporting API, micro services and related developments
  •  

  • Connectivity Business Functions in scope: Ordering/Market-to-order, VMI, Procurement, Transport and Logistics, Finance and other related ERP processes
  •  

    Formula for Success: You Will…

     

    Consulting

     

  • Consult and support internal and external partners when dealing with complex processes and IT application questions
  •  

  • Consult and support IT analysis (process and/or data), mentoring, modeling, solution design and optimization of related business processes and models
  •  

  • Provide structured acceptance, analysis and description of solutions and/or concepts
  •  

  • Execute studies in preliminary stages of projects, including evaluation of existing or new solutions
  •  

  • Provides a deep technical understanding of standard connectivity message structures (iDocs, XML, cXML, ANSI, etc.) and its related processes
  •  

    Integration Testing

     

  • Coordinate and execute prototyping, configuration and testing of solutions based on BASF requirements, while ensuring quality
  •  

  • Provide structured acceptance, analysis and description of solutions and/or concepts
  •  

    Project management and related tasks

     

  • Can assume roles as project manager or workstream lead with related tasks
  •  

  • Support and/or steer the formulation of more complex costs estimates for efforts spend solution design, testing and implementation of business solutions
  •  

  • Participate or steer more complex projects including collaboration with internal partners and external companies
  •  

    Support

     

  • Provides Business support and training (processes, tools, reports, etc.) where required
  •  

  • Provide guidance and structure to enable day2day operational support incl. advising external support resources
  •  

    Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You…

     

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Business IT or Business Economics
  •  

  •  At least 3-5 years of relevant experience
  •  

  • Experience in Systems Connectivity (Business2Business)
  •  

  • SAP required (PO, CPI)
  •  

  • Technical experience with standard connectivity message structures (iDocs, XML, cXML, ANSI, etc.)
  •  

  • Knowledge of local or regional Supply Chain framework requirements specific to North America preferred
  •  

  • Highly developed sense of responsibility

  • Highly developed conflict management skills and conflict awareness
