Technical expert providing strong leadership in theeffective evaluation, management, & technical information exchange of theextensive Credenz, FiberMax and Stoneville portfolios of soybean and cottonvarieties and trait technology packages leading to decisive variety placementthat optimizes yield potential and performance predictability within specificproduction regions. Formula for Success:You Will... Thesis-based MS or PhD degree in a biological oragricultural related science preferred. PhD with minimum of 4 years; MS withminimum of 8 years but prefer 10 years.Minimumthree years high level performance (at or above expectations) in previousposition in an agriculturally related fieldThinks strategically on short-term and long-termbusiness development. Reacts to market developments and makes criticaldecisions for region.Technical knowledge of crop managementpractices of cotton and soy in the USCommunication and human relations skillsare necessary to perform the duties of the position, influence decision makersand project a positive BASF technical image. Analytical and creative skills are neededto manage complex databases and deliver strong business support findingsA specializedknowledge of variety testing, statistical analysis and experimental design isrequired.Proficient computer skills are needed toanalyse data, prepare promotional and training literature, and to accomplishwritten communication tasks. Outline, implement and manage a broad testing program to effectively evaluate BASF cotton and soybean varieties for commercial advancement and placement refinement.Work closely with commercial operations, marketing, supply chain, production, breeding, trait development, technical service, innovation specialists and seed advisors to profitably manage a robust product portfolio of seeds and traits; following stewardship and compliance requirements, contributes to the development of commercial strategies and provides product positioning tools for sales. Technical expert of the product portfolio of seed and traits and plays a significant role in the variety advancement process. High level of competency in product portfolio, product placement, product management, and competitive offerings. Lead agronomic and product training activities targeted at seedadvisors, innovation specialists, business representatives, customers,university personnel, and other influential customersTrain Seed Advisors and Innovation Specialists on investigative fieldtechniques and assist with product investigation where necessary. Strong statistical & analytical skills; strengths in experimental design. Provides leadership in data management and analysis as well as development of sales support materials. High potential for managerial roles. Knowledge extends well beyond own region, with global practice awareness.
