Control Engineer III (1901671) - Monaca, PA


Where the Chemistry Happens


We are seeking a professional like you to support the control systems(DCS, PLC, SIS, etc.) at our Monaca, PA facility. Your main responsibility willbe to work with Operations Engineers and Operators to provide process controlthat meets their needs and makes their jobs easier and safer. You will maintaincontrol systems that perform to achieve functionality and safety obligationsand maximize system capability. This includes DCS hardware and software maintenanceand improvements, automation for capital projects, membership on key controlsystems related teams, and coordination of concepts with Production.

Formula for Success  

  • Leveraging your bachelor's degree in Electrical or Chemical Engineering and yourexperience in specialty chemical automation, you will provide expert supportfor the control systems as needed across the plant.
  • Your solid programming software knowledge will be essential as youutilize various types of DCS and PLC equipment and software (Emerson Delta VDCS, Honeywell DCS, Allen-Bradley and Modicon PLCs) during your daily work.
  • Demonstrating your robust technical knowledge, you will perform advancedcontrol and graphic configuration on systems across the plant.
  • Your effective communication and strong team work skills will serve you well as you coordinate with Operationsto implement process improvement, troubleshooting, and periodic health checksof installed base control systems.
  • Your experience providing technical guidance will be a valued asset asyou provide expertise as a resource in Advanced Process Control.
  • Understanding plant specific requirements and control systems, you willprovide technical expertise for other systems and communications protocols usedonsite such as OSI PI data collection, networking and I/O.
