A Day in the Life:

As an Asset Maintenance Support Manager, you will play a critical role in maximizing the reliability, safety, and performance of facility assets. Working closely with operations, maintenance, contractors, and leadership teams, you will oversee capital projects, support preventive and predictive maintenance programs, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Your expertise will help ensure operational excellence while supporting long-term asset management strategies and facility growth.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Manage and oversee capital projects, including planning, development, budgeting, tracking, execution, and project closeout activities.
  • Coordinate and support facility maintenance shutdowns in partnership with maintenance and operations teams.
  • Select, onboard, and manage external contractors, ensuring compliance with company standards and EH&S requirements.
  • Monitor contractor performance and support negotiations and evaluations of contracted maintenance and construction services.
  • Develop and maintain asset reliability and preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and improve equipment performance.
  • Identify and manage asset reliability risks through predictive maintenance strategies, PM optimization, and failure prevention initiatives.
  • Evaluate and recommend critical spare parts inventories based on equipment requirements and operational needs.
  • Participate in management meetings to review project status, capital budgets, and facility priorities.
  • Ensure maintenance activities and projects comply with quality standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
  • Promote health, safety, environmental, and security programs while driving continuous improvement and best practices across operations.


Skills/Experience Requirements:
  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in agri-business facility maintenance and/or construction, including bulk material handling systems.
  • Supervisory experience is considered a strong asset, with preference given to candidates possessing three (3) years of leadership experience.
  • High school diploma (Grade 12) supplemented by Journeyperson status in an industrial trade.
  • Two-year diploma in Business Management, Administration, Supervision, or a related field.
  • Diploma or Certificate in Business Administration or Commerce is considered an asset.
  • Demonstrated experience reading and interpreting construction drawings, building plans, and technical specifications.
  • Proven ability to develop, negotiate, and manage contracts with external service providers.
  • Strong project management, planning, budgeting, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including spreadsheets, databases, and word processing software.
  • Strong understanding of maintenance management principles, asset reliability, and capital project execution.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and operational performance.

The compensation range for this position is $89,380 - $100,530. In addition to the regular compensation, this role is also eligible for an annual incentive bonus.
