Summary/Objective The Warehouse Entry position verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment by performing the following duties to quality and productivity standards.

Weigh and count items for shipping and receiving. To ensure conformance to company standards.
Move materials to and from receiving and shipping area.
Mark finished goods with identifying information using the appropriate method.
Sort and place materials on racks, according to predetermined size, style, or product ID.
Operates lift trucks and hand trucks to convey, move or hoist materials to the pallet wrapper or staging areas.
Operates the stretch wrap and bander.
Sweep dust and mop. Organize warehouse and work area according to SQF standards.
Ensure the warehouse is accessible and safe for salespeople and driver traffic.
Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
Sweep, dust and mop. Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times.
Wear the proper safety equipment.
Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
Forklift, manual pallet jack, scissor lift, electric pallet jack, and electric pallet wrapper
Ability to communicate and work with a team

Supervisory Responsibility This position has no supervisor responsibilities.
Work Environment This job operates in food manufacturing environment where GMPs must be followed, including the removal of jewelry and the wearing of hair/beard nets.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to airborne particles, ingredients, hazardous chemicals and/or sanitation chemicals, which could contain skin irritants and allergens.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required listen and communicate verbally. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, use hands or fingers to handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms. The employee will be required to lift 50#'s regularly throughout their shift. Occasionally operate at heights above 5' in a cage or scissor lift while using fall protection.
The employee is occasionally required to walk, push, pull, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee may spend time in front of a computer screen entering shipping, receiving or inventory data, sending emails, etc.
