Job Description: Job Description

Transformation Strategy Director - Erlanger, KY

About the Role

The Transformation Strategy Director is a director-level role that sits at the intersection of GT strategy, executive storytelling, and product thinking. Reporting to the Sr. Director of the GT Transformation Office, this individual is a thought partner in building the GT strategy and shaping the story told to the Board, the Executive Committee, and visiting leaders - and the product manager for GT itself.

The role is roughly 60-65% strategy and 35-40% product management. Strategy work centers on the Crawl-Walk-Run framework, executive and Board engagement, communications, and the Change Champion Network. Product work centers on treating GT as a product: vision, roadmap, measurement, and value. Facilitation connects the two - this person shapes and leads the workshops and working sessions where strategy is built and decisions are made.

Today the role carries Global Process Owner responsibilities. As Product Managers for data and applications take on more of that scope, this person helps define the product model and the standards those roles work to. The role also leads a small communications and engagement team and serves as the Sr. Director's designated backup.

STRATEGY & EXECUTIVE PARTNERSHIP (~60-65%)
  • Partner with the Sr. Director to build, sharpen, and evolve the GT transformation strategy
  • Translate strategy into the Crawl-Walk-Run framework, keeping teams focused on clear objectives and milestones
  • Shape the narrative for Board, EC, and visiting-leader engagements; prepare the Sr. Director for executive-level discussions
  • Create executive-ready written and visual materials - decks, briefings, and talking points - that are clear, compelling, and polished
  • Develop the Communication Strategy so the GT story is consistent across audiences and channels
  • Lead the Change Champion Network - building advocates and adoption across GT
  • Design and facilitate workshops and working sessions that move groups from ideas to decisions and outcomes
  • Work with the Transformation Operations Lead, who runs governance and cadence, so strategy and execution stay connected
  • Serve as the Sr. Director's designated backup
TEAM LEADERSHIP
  • Lead and develop the GT communications and transformation engagement team, including the Digital Communications Analyst and Transformation Engagement Analyst
  • Coach team members on written communication, facilitation, and executive-ready materials, with clear development goals
  • Set priorities and review work so team output supports the GT communication strategy, the Change Champion Network, and manager training
  • Help team members build capability toward process and engagement work as the GT product model matures
GT AS A PRODUCT (~35-40%)
  • Serve as the GT Product Manager: own the product vision and roadmap, and identify and prioritize features
  • Define and track product KPIs; build the business case and value story for GT investments
  • Facilitate flow of value through backlog management, with attention to the customer experience across towers
  • Partner with Data and Applications Product Managers to define the GT product model, and transition Global Process Owner responsibilities to them over time
  • Set the standards for process improvement, process KPI definition, and stakeholder relationship management as the model matures
What You Bring

Experience & Background
  • 12+ years of progressive experience in technology strategy, product management, or enterprise transformation
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent progressive experience in technology strategy.
  • Experience shaping strategy alongside senior leaders and contributing to Board or executive committee materials
  • Demonstrated product management experience, such as vision, roadmap, prioritization, and value measurement
  • Track record designing and facilitating workshops that produce decisions and clear next steps
  • Experience leading change, such as a champion network, adoption effort, or communications strategy
  • Experience leading and developing a small team, including coaching on communication skills
  • Prior experience in a large, matrixed enterprise environment preferred
Skills & Competencies
  • Exceptional communicator - outstanding written and oral communication, with the ability to translate complexity into clear, audience-appropriate language for executives and the Board
  • PowerPoint master - builds visually striking, well-structured decks that tell a story and need little revision
  • Exceptional facilitator - designs sessions around outcomes, reads the room, and brings diverse groups to alignment
  • Skilled storyteller who can turn complex strategy into a clear, memorable narrative
  • Strategic thought partner who offers a point of view, welcomes challenge, and sharpens ideas with others
  • Product mindset - connects customer needs, value, and measurement to a clear roadmap
  • High tolerance for ambiguity; can hold structure and drive progress without waiting for perfect clarity
