The STF FX Originator will be in charge of creating, designing and developing relationships with banks in countries defined in STF business plan, specifically in term of transit trade or import. The successful candidate will be able to build the activity from inception and will have to demonstrate a strong understanding of various countries economic and political risks as well as central bank regulation. The partnership with other STF team members, structuring and operation in particular will be critical as it will be essential to articulate these risks in order to build successful transactions that can be structured. The successful candidate will need to be a business leader that can demonstrate strong commercial mind-set and innovation that foster the STF group footprint and support the activities of ADM group in the region.

Your Responsibilities

Reporting to the Regional Head of Structured Trade Finance, the main duties of this role will include:
  • Ability to analyze current existing hedging transaction and leveraging on market opportunities which will create new sources of revenue for the group in the region
  • Excellent understanding of economics and FX regulatory aspects in the targeted countries
  • Seek and develop new business activities and engage with ADM units and treasury group to find suitable opportunities
  • Lead the transactional activity with other STF team members, from the targeted idea, until its implementation, but also structuring and execution. Responsibility of transactions from inception to successful execution.
  • Strong understanding of the risks involved and ability to articulate these risks to STF Regional head and STF Head and other committees
  • Eager to lead its project to successful implementation with intense interaction with support functions
  • Operate within strong guidelines and standard procedures as defined by the STF unit and ADM group
  • Developing new bank's partnership which can bring added value to the Group
Your Profile
  • Bachelor or Master degree in business/banking or finance (or similar)
  • 8-10 years in financial institutions and/or corporate Finance, with structured trade finance exposure in the FX space ideally
  • Strong understanding of trade, FX market, central banks regulation as well as treasury activities
  • Risk Management mind-set that does accompany the development of new structure and new market
  • Strong experience in hedging market in Asia Pacific.
  • Self-motivated, willingness to constantly innovate and seek news ways to support the activities of the group
  • Highly numerate, ability to grasp complex financial products & transactions
  • Passion for learning new products and skills and drive change when needed
  • Ability to influence at different levels within (business units) and outside the organization (origination banks and corporates)
  • Very open minded and team oriented with a desire to succeed as a group
  • Strong business acumen, commercial instinct and opportunity driven
  • Enjoy working in a building environment that will grow at a fast pace and start with limited resources
