Senior Analyst - Pricing Analytics - Erlanger, KY

Position Summary

The Senior Analyst - Pricing Analytics is a key member of the pricing analytics team, developing pricing solutions and supporting day to day activities of the broader pricing and commercial organization. The responsibilities include pricing data management, developing/enhancing analytics frameworks and visualizations that enable data driven business decisions.

The ideal candidate will have:
  • commercial minded approach understanding market economics, customer and product value in alignment with go-to-market pricing strategy
  • expertise in analytics and data science techniques
  • technical knowledge of platforms and software technology (Python/R, SQL Server, Databricks, Azure Synapse)
  • ability to drive effective support of data analysis and model management
  • ability to translate communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience
  • experience with IT project management practices
The position is located in Erlanger, KY (Cincinnati, OH metro area)

Responsibilities for this position include:
  • Design, develop, and maintain analytics products, ensuring high quality inputs and outputs that help commercial teams with day to day pricing and long term strategic planning
  • Build reusable data sets and analytics that enable rapid decision making for commercial leaders
  • Review and validate data sets and analyses across team to ensure data and assumptions are aligned with evolving market conditions
  • Collaborate across the broader Nutrition organization to unlock data and analytics efficiencies and build a cohesive view of our platforms
  • Act as the voice of the pricing customer, detailing requirements and building pricing solutions that bring measurable value to key stakeholders
  • Design, develop and maintain analytics products, PowerBI visualizations, and dynamic ad-hoc frameworks that help commercial teams with day to day pricing and long term strategic planning
  • Manage pricing performance discipline through continuous KPI monitoring and active coaching
  • Develop processes, guard rails, and routines to drive value for various businesses
  • Challenge existing assumptions in pricing methodologies to drive impactful change
  • Coach business leaders and managers in leveraging machine learning models for pricing
  • Develop insightful visualizations to communicate key insights to both technical and non-technical leadership
  • Translate complex business problems into concise analysis that help drive actions
  • Partner closely with commercial, sales, finance and IT to implement and improve pricing tools
  • Build machine learning models to generate insights from past customer activity
  • Develop unit tests and integrity tests to ensure data and model accuracy
  • Coordinate data updates with appropriate departments (e.g., marketing, sales, finance, and operations) data and reporting across businesses to enable consistency and quality control of key business data
  • Write optimized code improving efficiency, scalability, and stability
Requirements for this position include:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Physics, or related field
  • 2-4 years of experience performing data analytics, machine learning, and predictive modeling initiatives
  • Experience with applying data science methods to pricing and commercial business problems using the full suite of Azure tools (Azure ML, Azure Pipelines and Azure DevOps)
  • Demonstrated strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Experience with data visualization and data processing tools (e.g., PowerBI, Python/R, SQL, Databricks)
  • Experience implementing Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests and accurate usage, etc.) based on the business caseand experience with applications
  • Experience with supervised and unsupervised machine learning algorithms (clustering, decision tree learning, etc.)

  • Demonstrate strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to communicate, influence and build trust across multiple stakeholder groups
  • Proven experience managing multiple priorities with competing deadlines
  • Experience working with all major functions, like supply chain, procurement, product development, and finance to improve data accuracy and integrity preferred
  • Self-starter with continuous improvement mindset
  • Ownership mentality
  • Familiarity with Enterprise ERP systems (SAP, IBM, Oracle, etc) a plus
