S&OP Practitioner - Decatur, IL- This is an exempt level position Position Summary: The S&OP Practitioner is responsible for the successful application of the S&OP process each cycle in all BUs and Regions. The supply chain S&OP Practitioner functions as the chief architect, teacher, conductor and, when required, the enforcer of supply chain processes. This practitioner works cross-functionally, and benchmarks internally and externally among industry peers and thought leaders to develop the most appropriate process to achieve management objectives.
Establish relationships with key roles across the end to end supply chain, including commercial executives, finance, procurement, supply chain, product development, order management, logistics and others
Establish standards for each element of supply chain strategy and execution. Tailor best practices to meet the needs of individual entities to meet business objectives
Form a companywide strategic roadmap to improve supply chain process maturity. Align strategic roadmap with key stakeholders across functions, hierarchy and different parts of the business.
Interact with IT to develop system solutions to meet supply chain requirements.
Manage projects to implement improvements to the process.
Document current processes and develop future state.
Create process playbook for key supply chain pillars, such as S&OP, S&OE and logistics.
Assess the current S&OP process maturity in collaboration with S&OP coordinators across different business units and geographies.
Align changes to the process as impacted by other changes (e.g., organizational changes in commercial or finance, company structure, M&A, etc.).
Support the hiring, training and onboarding of new supply chain colleagues on overall process.
Support definition of the competency model and assessment for supply chain operational roles.
Enable process design through technology and analytics and manage technology upgrades.
Establish key metrics to drive the actions to create value while delivering superior performance to the customer.
Channel continuous improvement ideas across supply chain and selects suitable ones to turn into projects.
Ensure the overall standard and health of the processes while driving continuous improvement.
The successful candidate will deliver:
Overall quantified business benefit of the process improvements. This can be improved profitability, revenue, inventory and/or service.
Process maturity across different parts of the organization through an assessment of the current state.
Successful project implementation (time, cost, benefit) to improve the process and embed it across the different business units and geographies.
Outcome and health of the process through sharing best practices, audits and alignment on top projects and targets.
Competencies: Knowledge of the following:
S&OP and others supply chain process across different business units, products and geographies within the organization.
Adjacent processes of supply chain, including order to cash, manufacturing, procurement and financial planning.
In-depth understanding of strategic business goals and objectives.
In-depth understanding of portfolio planning, demand, supply planning and executive S&OP steps of the process.
Moderate understanding of financial planning.
Deep understanding of technology enablement and current technology tools

A proven ability to communicate with stakeholders across the organization, including listening to understand multiple viewpoints and their relevance to the success of Supply chain outcomes.

Educational and Experience Requirements:
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain or related field. A Master's Degree in Business is desired.
Minimum of ten (10) years professional work experience in business, technical, Supply Chain or related field.
