The QA Coordinator reports directly to the Quality Manager. The role acts as the primary liaison between Customer Requirements and the Quality Department. The position works closely with the QFS Specialist (for internal safety standards) to ensure required official as well as client expectations are met.
The Role
The QA Coordinator is the guardian of the Quality Management System (QMS) within the company. The focus of this role is on maintaining certifications, managing the external audit agenda, and ensuring that customer-specific quality requirements are translated into internal processes. The role is responsible for the administrative and systematic integrity of the quality framework.
Responsibilities
- Managing and updating the Quality Management System (QMS) according to necessary standards.
• Coordination and preparation of third-party certification audits and customer audits.
• Planning and conducting internal audits to ensure systemic compliance across all departments together the QFS Specialist role.
• Acting as the first point of contact for technical quality inquiries from customers.
• Reviewing and approving customer-specific quality agreements and ensuring their implementation in production.
• Systematic processing of customer complaints, including documentation and communication of findings back to the client.
• Monitoring and following up on Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) resulting from audits, complaints, or internal non-conformities.
• Ensuring that implemented measures are sustainable and effectively prevent recurrence.
• Contributing data and insights to the annual Management Review.
Qualifications and experience
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and experience:
• Degree in Food Technology, Food Chemistry, Food Law or a related field with a focus on Quality Management.
- Excellent Dutch language skills - spoken and written.
• Proven experience in Food Safety/QA within the food industry for more than 5 years.
• Significant experience in Quality Management within the food industry, specifically with customer-facing responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and ISO/IFS/BRC standards.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills for customer interactions.•
• Highly structured and detail-oriented working style.
• Proficient in CAPA management and problem-solving methodologies..
