Manager National Accounts - Remote

Carbohydrates Business Unit, BioSolutions / Sustainable Materials

This is a full time, exempt level position.

The successful candidate will be a dynamic and results driven sales professional with a proven track record in developing and managing new business within the industrial sector. This position is also responsible for prospecting and growing of new and existing customers in the fermentation, renewable chemicals, and biomaterials sectors. In addition, the position will promote ADM's growing ingredient capabilities to customers and represent ADM at industry meetings and tradeshows.

  • Willingness to learn, assist and manage all customer channels and products
  • Desire/motivation to help promote other ADM products to "key" relationships
Essential Responsibilities
  • Work closely with our customer facing organization to develop and implement differentiated value propositions for our customers
  • Be recognized customer expert and key point of contact for ADM BioSolutions product portfolio that includes dextrose, fructose, glucose syrups, maltodextrin, corn starch, corn steep liquor, citric acid, glycols, and refined oils.
  • Recommends Specialty "value-added" solutions, including but not limited to new products, technologies, and processes to obtain new business in support of BioSolutions segment growth targets
  • Facilitate and drive discovery meetings with new prospects, understanding applications and customer needs
  • Continually draws insights on customer needs and seeks opportunities to translate these into actionable plans and new sales development
  • Develops and maintains a strong working knowledge of the markets and competitive landscape
  • Develop and maintain up-to-date 'fact-based' customer development plans
  • Analyze marketing insights to unlock opportunities for future growth at prospects and accounts
  • Active use of Salesforce CRM
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships within ADM business units
  • Ultimately responsible for effective management of cost levers (knowing the cost to serve) and in assisting in the timely collection of account receivables
Qualifications/Requirements
  • A minimum of bachelor's degree in Business or related field is preferred or a minimum of five years' sales and marketing experience
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Good computer skills and knowledge of Salesforce.com and Microsoft software including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Travel
  • Overnight travel is required (40% minimum)
This position is remote based. Ideal candidate will be based near major airport, as prospecting will require travel across North America.
