Maintenance Supervisor/Planner- Decatur BioProducts, Decatur IL
This is an exempt level position.

Job Summary
The Maintenance Supervisor/Planner is a member of the BioProducts Maintenance Team reporting to the Reliability Engineer responsible for the Planning/Scheduling Division. The colleague in this position will utilize the tools of Maximo, ADM's Computerized Maintenance Management System, to review, plan and schedule maintenance activities designed to protect the function of plant equipment. The Maintenance Supervisor/Planner is expected to develop detailed job plans to include safety requirements, task sequences, required craft skills and crew size, necessary materials and special tools, as well as equipment access requirements. The colleague in this position is the liaison between Maintenance, Operations, Engineering, the contractors and others to plan and schedule maintenance activities for the Plant.


Essential Job Functions

  • Adhere to all plant safety and operating guidelines
  • Interact with Maximo to manage all aspects of the Maintenance Supervisor/Planner function
  • Interact with Plant colleagues to develop planned, preventative and/or predictive maintenance activities to support equipment reliability efforts
  • Screen job requests for completeness, accuracy and need
  • Develop detailed job plans to include safety requirements, task sequences, required craft skills and crew size, necessary materials and special tools, as well as equipment access requirements
  • Perform regular analysis of work backlog relative to available resources
  • Coordinate job scheduling through structured meetings with the Production Departments and publish prioritized weekly job schedules
  • Procure and stage the tools and/or materials required to successfully complete planned jobs
  • Support Storeroom growth by identifying spare parts, tying them back to their assets and submitting "Stock Authorization" forms as required to add parts to inventory
  • Understands their role in food safety and quality systems, actively participates in food safety efforts and ensures all activities conform to good manufacturing practices
  • Must exhibit high levels of professionalism and integrity


Education/Training

  • Must have a High School Degree or GED
  • A Two Year Technical Degree Would be a Plus
Experience
  • Must Have Strong Computer Skills with Experience using Microsoft Applications
  • Must Have Experience Interacting with Maximo
  • Maintenance Craft Experience Would be a Plus
  • Leadership Skills in an Industrial Environment Preferred

Special Skills

  • Must Have Good Verbal and Written Communication Skills
  • Must Have Good Organizational Skills and Attention to Detail
Working Conditions
  • The candidate must be able to work in a variety of environmental conditions, such as hot and cold temperatures and dusty environment
Physical Requirements
  • Regular, prompt attendance
  • Ability to climb stairs, some lifting, sit and stand for long periods, work in confined spaces, work with heights, bending, kneeling, and respirator qualified
