Bulk Shipper/Receiver (Operator I)

Woodstock, Ontario

Operations

Hourly Full-time - $31.05 CAD

Pre-employment Requirement Successful completion of pre-employment medical and reference check

About the Position

Work consists primarily maintaining bulk feed Inventory levels in our two production systems along with receiving bulk ingredients from Trucks and totes/bags into the system. Also load out Bulk trucks for delivery.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Operate Lift Trucks
  • Operate bulk receiving system
  • Perform setup and cleanup of bulk receiving system
  • Work with Customers/Truck Drivers
  • Follow Sop's and attention to details
  • Troubleshoot problem
  • Monitor Equipment and assist with maintenance tasks
  • Have the ability to climb stairs and ladders, sit and stand for long periods, working with heights, bending, and kneeling
  • Following GMP, HACCP, Food Safety and Safety Rules is essential
  • All other duties required


Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Demonstrates a strong team-collaborator attitude while being able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Must have good attention to detail troubleshooting skills
  • Verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • History of working safely and a reputation for promoting and getting involved in safety improvement efforts
  • Related Industry Knowledge
  • The successful applicant must be able to work from heights, stand, sit, kneel, crawl, and bend
  • May be required to lift 55 lbs / 22 kg and needs to be able to work in a variety of hot, cold, or wet conditions
  • Shift work, overtime and weekends may be required


Education or Work Experience

  • High school education or equivalent is required


Health and Safety

  • Work in accordance with local/provincial legislation
  • Understands and is accountable for full compliance with safety and other EHS requirements
