Administrator - Grain Trading Team

Job Purpose:

The Administrator provides essential administrative and operational support to the Grain Trading team, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of contracts and related documentation. This role serves as a key liaison between internal and external stakeholders helping to maintain efficient trading operations while ensuring compliance with company policies and industry requirements.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, issue and maintain grain trading contracts.
  • Verify contract details for accuracy, including pricing, quantities, delivery terms, and payment conditions.
  • Track contract amendments and ensure documentation is complete and up to date.
  • Schedule meetings and maintain departmental records.
  • Support continuous improvement of administrative processes.
  • Perform other administrative duties as assigned by the line manager.
Knowledge & Skills
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced trading environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle commercially sensitive information.
Performance Measures

Success in this role will be measured by:
  • Timely and accurate processing of contracts.
  • Accuracy of trade documentation and data entry.
  • On-time completion of administrative tasks.
  • Quality of support provided to traders and stakeholders.
  • Compliance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Positive feedback from internal and external customers.
