Leads daily manufacturing operations and workflows, manage and develop production colleagues, ensure highest level of safety and quality, maintain equipment, meets output targets, and monitor data trends through reports.
Job Responsibilities:
Provides technical leadership for all manufacturing processes to meet schedules
Train, mentor, develop, and evaluate production colleagues on policies and performance.
Monitor and ensure all shift activities are conducted under company safety, quality and regulatory (USDA, Kosher, GMP, HACCP, etc.) guidelines
Track productivity, implement efficiency improvements, and reduce costs.
Prepare and present reports to management.
Conduct pre shift meetings and communicate goals and priorities.
Daily usage of computer programs including Microsoft office suite, ERP, MRP, Data tracking software.
Ability to quickly prioritize resources, activities, equipment, and schedule to ensure highest productivity level to achieve highest level of customer satisfaction.
Strong ownership and communication of daily follow through for solutions to daily manufacturing issues, impact to customer orders, inventory accuracy, etc.
Investigates root causes and sets corrective action plans for all quality, yield and other departmental deviations.
Collaborate and develop continuous improvement and teamwork initiatives.
Required Skills:
High School Diploma required
Associates or Bachelor Degree preferred (Manufacturing technology, Engineering, Industrial management, or related discipline) or equivalent experience
Critical thinking and decision making
Data driven problem solving using six sigma, 5 Why, Root Cause Analysis
OSHA safety training
Experience leading production in a complex manufacturing environment, including multi team coordination and shift leadership
