Job Description:

Position Summary:
As Marketing Manager, you will help shape how Agriculture Future of America (AFA) engages our audiences through compelling, mission-driven marketing and communications. This role serves as our lead content designer, creating polished, on-brand materials that support programs, events, fundraising, and strategic initiatives. You will collaborate across our internal team and with external partners to deliver creative solutions, strengthen brand consistency, and advance AFA's mission.

Your Primary Functions:

  • Serve as a steward of the AFA brand, ensuring consistency in visual identity, messaging and voice across all communications and experiences.
  • Create and manage branded marketing materials across print and digital channels, including presentations, event collateral, email campaigns, social media content, signage and promotional assets.
  • Develop and maintain templates, creative resources and brand tools that improve organizational efficiency and consistency.
  • Plan, execute and optimize integrated marketing campaigns across email, web, social media, events and other channels, using performance data and audience insights to improve results.
  • Partner with internal teams to develop marketing and communication solutions that support organizational priorities, programs, events, fundraising initiatives and partnerships.
  • Manage multiple marketing and creative projects simultaneously, coordinating timelines, feedback, production and deliverables.
  • Coordinate with vendors, contractors and external partners to support design, print, photography, video and other marketing needs.
  • Stay current on marketing, content and design trends and provide strategic, flexible support as organizational priorities evolve.
  • Provide flexible marketing support and serve as a strategic partner as organizational priorities and team needs evolve.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations or related field
  • 3-5 years of marketing experience
  • Proficient in Adobe Suite
  • Email marketing, social media content creation
  • Digital and event marketing experience


Preferred Education and Experience

  • Email platform experience (Account Engagement, Constant Contact, Active Campaign, etc.)
  • Involvement in or working knowledge of agriculture and food industry
  • Donor and alumni marketing


Supervisory Responsibility
This position may involve the supervision of staff.


Work Environment
You will operate primarily in a professional office environment. If remote, you will work primarily from your home office.


Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, and subject to request for reasonable accommodations, you will be required to constantly operate a computer, and other office machinery as needed. You are expected to remain in a stationary position most of the day and to exchange information with internal and external constituents regularly. Occasionally, the employee may need to move or position equipment or supplies weighing up to 5-10 pounds. 


Because travel is frequent and this role represents our organization at other conferences, ability to transport personal belongings and organizational promotional materials for travel, with reasonable accommodation, is necessary.


Position Type/Regular Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and regular hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. You will be expected to work some evenings and weekends as needed.


Travel
Some out-of-area and overnight travel is expected to AFA events throughout the year and on weekends. Travel is not expected to exceed 10%.
