Job Description:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Working Hours:

  • Standard office hours are Monday to Friday, 8am - 5pm
  • Role requires significant additional hours in season to meet business demands.
  • Additional hours may be required sporadically throughout the year in order to complete duties.


Equipment & Vehicles:

  • Company vehicle will be made available for company use.
  • Other equipment will be provided as needed.
  • Reimbursement for personal cell phone will be available.


Operations Integrity:

  • Process and co-ordinate phone, counter, fax, and electronic orders in a professional and expedient manner.
  • Assist customers in sourcing available products and services.
  • Loading and unloading of products.
  • Delivery of product and operation of equipment, including custom application.
  • Dispatch of fleet and personnel.
  • Operate site based equipment.
  • Supervise full time & seasonal staff.
  • Administer cash accounts and bank deposit entries.
  • Manage applicable audits/safety programs and ensure ongoing site compliance.
  • Lead site safety meetings and conduct required inspections.
  • Understand the Emergency Response Plan (ERP) and take role as a primary contact.
  • Ensure all regulator audits and approvals are maintained and you are the primary contact with the regulatory agencies
  • Manage site inventory and be responsible for constant accuracy in computer system.
  • Accurate entering and coding of accounts payable/receivable invoices.
  • Manage and ensure that location equipment is in good, safe working order as well as maintaining equipment cleanliness and professional appearance.
  • Perform light maintenance on equipment.

 

Salesmanship/Business Integrity:

  • Maintain the professional image of the company by being responsible for cleanliness of vehicles, equipment, and yard.
  • Ensure the business operates high a high level of customer service, responsiveness, and safety.
  • Be the primary customer service representative for the territory in a professional manner, and contribute to the relationship management of the customer base.
  • Participate in company programs and always be seeking to increase knowledge of company products and services.
  • Be responsible for activities regarding customer account collections within territory.
  • Take on an active and visible role representing McEwen's at applicable industry events and associations within local community.
  • Be willing to accept other tasks and responsibilities as required.

 

Agronomy & Sales:

  • A role in agronomic sales and service focuses on enhancing customer relationships through qualified advice driven sales as well as development of new business.
  • Proactive and reactive sales efforts, including telephone and on farm calls, of agricultural and petroleum products and services.
  • Proactive management of customers' fields and crop plans including data collection and advising.
  • Development and execution of marketing plans and programs, both short and long range, to ensure the growth and expansion of company products and services.
  • Organize sales events in order to increase customer relations and/or to promote products and services.
  • Responsible for education of customers and staff of new technologies as well as prescribed products and application techniques.
  • Plans and oversees the territory's advertising and promotion activities including print, electronic, and direct mail outlets.
  • McEwen's is involved in several product and service lines and all team members are expected to contribute to other areas of the business if required.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or Experience:

  • Significant agronomic or management experience and/or post-secondary education in an agronomic or management related field is required.


Language Skills:

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
  • Ability to effectively respond to inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
  • Ability to effectively present information to senior management, public groups, and customers.
