Global Quality
Assurance Head - Vegetables & Flowers (Downers Grove, IL)


What You Will Do:
  • Lead
    the implementation of a robust E2E Seeds Quality Management System (QMS)
    for Vegetables and Flowers based on the Global Seeds Quality Framework
  • Represent
    Vegetables and Flowers in the Seeds Quality Leadership team (SQLT)
  • Actively
    promote Quality as member of the Vegetables (VEG) and Flowers (FLS) Global
    Leadership Team
  • Select
    and develop a team of Quality Assurance professionals to execute the Seeds
    Quality Framework core processes, effectively collaborate with adjacent
    functions E2E, and efficiently manage customer complaints
  • Proactively
    promote the direction set through the Global Seeds Quality Framework and
    actively participate in embedding Quality Culture throughout the Global
    Veg/Fls organization
  • Direct
    the Regional Veg QA Leads and Fls QA Lead with the implementation of
    Global Seeds Quality Framework Processes and Codes of Practices, within
    the operational business processes E2E focused, meeting the
    requirements of certifications in place and the direction set in the
    Global Quality Policy
  • Lead
    the Regional Veg CC and Fls QA teams to proactively manage, communicate
    and resolve customer complaints with frequent reporting to the VSLT and
    Global KPIs
  • Collaborate
    with the E2E functions within Veg/Fls Management (R&D, P&S,
    Operations, M&S) to assure that sufficient resources are available at the
    regional level to support deployment of QA processes and tools and the
    quality culture in the organization
  • Collaborate
    on the development of global KPIs to measure the performance of the Seeds
    Quality Core Processes at global level and manage implementation and
    reporting of KPIs at Global and Regional levels
  • Monitor the Seeds Quality Core Processes based on input from VEG & FLRS QA
    team and work with Global E2E management to support and continually
    improve the Quality processes, tools, and QA commitment in their functions
  • Actively
    represent the Veg and Fls Quality organization in the Seeds Quality LT for
    policy, global processes and associated tools (e.g. Reliance)
  • Report on Seeds Quality Core Process
    performance within the Global Veg/Fls LT
  • Promote
    best practices, continuous improvement and harmonization of Quality
    processes across regions
  • Connect
    with adjacent functions such as Seeds Operations, Seeds Production
    Research, Supply Planning and Logistics to gather and share best practices



  • Skills:

    You Have:
  • Minimum 5 years practical experience in
    agriculture related field.
    Preferable within Seeds
  • Master's Degree or higher in plant science or related area - agronomy, seed science, botany
  • Experience or strong knowledge in quality control, planning & logistics,
    sales & marketing processes
  • Knowledge of planning cycles, production, processing
    and sales
  • Experience in an international work
    environment; Ability to work with various diverse cultures and work habits
  • Knowledge in understanding SAP tables, linkages,
    and transaction design
  • Fluent in English
