About this Job:The Digital Product Manager is responsible for the development and rollout of digital products in the region. The role works across functions, primarily Commercial, in service of the CP and Seeds strategies. A strategic influencer and forward thinker, the product manager evangelizes transformational change, promoting and developing agile and lean ways of working across teams. The product manager works with stakeholders to define the product specification, prioritize them and create a product roadmap. The role will then harness the engineering capability of their function to deliver products to customers and back to the business.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Manage the digital portfolio of new products; lead and co-ordinate localization activities for existing products
Support the business to evaluate opportunities, prioritize, experiment, and capture value from these products
Pursue external collaborations, capabilities and emerging Ag technologies to ensure Syngenta remains digitally coherent through undertaking industry and technology foresight, research and engagements
Routine engagement with Country Champions and Syngenta Digital to understand, evaluate and deploy digital products. Drive the sharing of learnings and best practices for accelerated benefits realization
Seek adoption of the products by end users by working with the field teams to train, and evangelize the usage
Education & Experience:
University undergraduate degree or above in IT, Engineering, Computer Science, or Business Administration, or other relevant educational experience
Digitally savvy with an understanding of how technology can be brought to life to support business challenges
Strong advocate and practitioner of value stream / value based systems of assessment
Additional Knowledge, Skills, Traits & Abilities:
Ability to shape and catalyze digital ideas into product specifications
Confidence engaging with stakeholders to lead innovation using specialist skills like design thinking
Able to lead innovation and lean experimentation to validate ideas before delivery
Awareness and understanding of agile delivery
Project Management experience
Accomplished with the ability to negotiate and influence others
Charismatic, seeking to challenge the norm and not afraid to take calculated risks to deliver results
