Job Description:
Key Responsibilities: You'll play a key role in plant safety, equipment maintenance, and troubleshooting, ensuring compliance with OSHA and NEC/70E regulations. Using advanced tools, you'll repair, install, and maintain mechanical and electrical systems while keeping work areas clean and contamination-free. Responsibilities include responding to trouble calls, performing scheduled and emergency maintenance, completing reports, and participating in continuous improvement programs. Collaboration with engineers, contractors, and project managers is essential, as is managing work orders in the CMMS system. A valid forklift license is required. This role will also involve occasionaly working outdoors with exposure to noise, chemicals and fumes.
Qualifications:
- Must provide additional tools using company sponsored allowance for those that are not provided.
- Requires Industrial Maintenance Technician or Millwright/Maintenance Mechanic certification or willingness to obtain either.
- Must be able to lift up to 25-40lb frequently and bend, twist, stoop, kneel, ascend/descend stairs/ladders and work in awkward positions.
Skills:
- Requires mental aptitude, independence and physical skill at times working in awkward positions.
- Must understand mechanical drawings, electrical prints, schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Ability to clearly communicate complex technical procedures to non-technical operators.
- Must comply with PPE, GMP and food safety regulations.
- Basic electrical knowledge needed including power distribution, control wiring and would be preferred to have knowledge of PLC functions.
- Experience with 480-volt 3-phase power, VFD functionality, servo controllers and electrical troubleshooting is preferred.
- Demands constant care to prevent equipment damage, product loss, and injury.
