About the role.

Performs Preventative Maintenance and diagnostic checks on Company vehicles, forklifts, and scissor lift. Performs maintenance and repair on Gas and Electric forklift trucks.

What you’ll be doing.

• Promotes and adheres to company safety work rules and regulations.

• Operates and understands the function of a forklift.

• Observes and listens to operating forklifts to diagnose malfunctions and determine need for adjustment and troubleshooting.

• Reads and works from related maintenance and troubleshooting guides.

• Diagnoses, disassembles, repairs, and replaces SCR controls, hydraulic systems and components, valves, cylinders, pumps, etc.

• Repairs propane and electric propulsion systems.

• Performs preventative maintenance on both propane and electric forklift trucks.

• Uses parts manuals to order proper parts for repairs needed.

• One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

• Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

• Valid State Driver’s License.

• Valid McCain Foods Forklift Operator’s License.

Compensation Package: $28.74-$49.26 USD hourly + bonus eligibility

The above reflects the target compensation range for the position at the time of posting. Hiring compensation will be determined based on experience, skill set, education/training, and other organizational needs.

Shift Differential Pay: $1.50 USD hourly for Graveyard
