We currently have a Senior Regional Crop Protection Manager position available at our Simplot Grower Solutions facility in Fresno, CA.
SUMMARY Responsible for understanding needs and aligning direction with Area Managers, Market Managers and Procurement Managers, for Crop Protection products. Owns the strategic and financial relationship with supplier regional and division management to ensure optimization of rebate opportunities and align expectations. Partners with national and area management to develop and implement overall crop protection strategy.
RESPONSIBILITIESWork daily with Area and Regional managers to understand market conditions and needs.Utilize monthly conferences calls with Area and Market managers to give updates and progress reports on CP business.Coordinate and communicate strategic product and supplier direction.Review financial analysis of key AI's to ensure best cost and profit opportunity is being utilized.Manage regional procurement managers to ensure aligned direction is being followed.Manage regional and divisional supplier relationship to coordinate meetings, programs and direction.Communicate with other CP regional Managers and Platform Director on desired strategic and financial direction.Efficiently translate regional programs into the CP Business Manager to ensure regional programs and pricing is being captured in our systems.
REQUIREMENTSBachelor's Degree from 4 year college or universityBusiness management, financial analytical skills and negotiation skills are key components for success in this position. Ability to merge agronomic direction with financial incentives to maximize business performance is critical. Ability to influence sales teams to support strategy is needed. 5 years related experience and/or training. Supervisory experience a plus.
