We currently have a position available at our Simplot Grower Solutions facility in Burlington, CO.

Simplot Grower Solutions (SGS) Overview: The SGS mission is simple: "Delivering Solutions to Growers". With over 100 retail locations and a full line of crop inputs, Simplot Grower Solutions is your one-stop resource for agricultural supplies and precision agronomy services.

SUMMARY
Summary:
Under general direction, performs a variety of job responsibilities which may include delivery of fertilizer and chemical products to customers from the Unit office, equipment and plant maintenance work, and fertilizer blending.

RESPONSIBILITIES May assist with recordkeeping related to warehouse/inventory responsibilities.Performs varied responsibilities such as: equipment and plant maintenance including welding, pump and engine overhauls, painting, and general housekeeping responsibilities; loading and delivering fertilizer and chemicals to customers; operating equipment to blend fertilizer; monitoring product application by calculating amounts, calibrating equipment, controlling application rates, and cleaning and storing equipment after application process; receiving and unloading product and performing warehouse inventory and storage functions.Miscellaneous duties such as assisting with special projects, attending training sessions, providing back-up when needed, etc.

REQUIREMENTS
Education:Nonessential: High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Other information:Five plus years related experience and/or training. Knowledge of the local geography is required to assist in locating farms and fields. High level of knowledge in the areas of electrical, mechanical, welding and metal fabrication is preferred.
Skills: Ability to assist in equipment rebuilds. Ability to calibrate a variety of application equipment. Ability to maintain maintenance records for equipment Ability to take on dispatching duties when necessary. Ability to make-up blend tickets as necessary. Ability to set up and calibrate injection pumps.
Abilities: Distinguishing Features: Endorsements of Hazmat and Hazardous Material Handler is preferred at this level. Individuals at this level will routinely take on duties with minimal supervision as an independent contributor. Individuals may also be given responsibility for projects requiring direct day-to-day direction of other employees. An applicator Blender License is preferred to achieve this level. Pesticide Endorsement is preferred for this level.
Additional Comments: This level requires good knowledge of the geography/roads/farms and ability to develop trust with mgmt that moderate and heavy traffic can be negotiated effectively.
Licenses: Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with endorsement to drive a ten wheeler and trailer on the highway; generally referred to as a Class A.
