SUMMARY: Assists the Helena Products Group departmental managers in day-to-day accounting procedures. Assists with budgets and special projects to provide information which aids in business decisions. Must primarily perform office or non-manual work directly related to management policies or general business operations. Also, must exercise independent choice and judgment in matters of consequence 50% or more of the time.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Coordinates, compiles and organizes all budget information annually.
Compiles and maintains fixed asset records.
Analyses product mixes, inventories and sales reports.
Allocates HPG rebates to Business Units.
Evaluates departmental P&L's.
Monitors the add-on accounts to ensure the department receives all monies due.
Works with Brand to provide pricing information to purchasing and Helena products managers.
Works with brand and sales on special programs.
Assists with domestic & international logistics.
Other work-related duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.
Reliable and regular attendance is expected.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in accounting or business field and 2 years related work experience involving P&Ls and analysis, or 2 years of college and 6 years of related work experience involving P&Ls and analysis.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:
Knowledge of accounting principles.
Good computer skills including proficiency in the Microsoft Office package, with advanced experience in MS Excel.
Experience with oracle and discoverer a plus.
Knowledge of products and program understanding.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to prioritize and work on multiple tasks.
