Our client, a provider of advanced LED lighting solutions for the horticulture industry, is searching for a National Sales Manager to drive sales strategy and expand market presence across the country.
The National Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and expand the customer base in the horticulture/greenhouse sector. This role involves building strong relationships with customers and identifying new business opportunities.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and implement national sales strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets.
- Set clear sales goals and performance metrics for the team.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of sales managers and sales representatives.
- Provide ongoing training and development to enhance the team's skills and product knowledge.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to refine sales strategies.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities and partnerships within the agriculture sector.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and industry influencers.
- Oversee the development of proposals, presentations, and contracts.
- Conduct regular customer visits and follow-ups to strengthen relationships and gather feedback.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and providing exceptional service.
- Collaborate with the design and manufacturing team to provide customer specific solutions and contribute to product improvement.
- Prepare and present regular sales reports, forecasts, and market analysis to senior management.
- Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and sales metrics.
DESIRED PROFILE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Agriculture, or relevant experience
- Strong understanding of LED lighting technology and its applications in the traditional horticulture market
- 5+ years proven sales experience in the LED lighting and horticulture industry
- Experience leading a team
- Substantial book of business and knowledge of LED lighting manufacturing and distribution
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
- Demonstrated ability to develop a market and implement successful sales strategies
- Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to travel frequently across the country as needed, up to 50%
