This role will lead, motivate, and develop a cross-functional team encompassing both warehouse and logistics operations. The ideal candidate is a proactive, solutions-focused leader with strong organizational and communication skills, capable of driving continuous improvement and operational excellence in a dynamic, growing business.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Warehouse Operations & Inventory Management

  • Oversee all aspects of warehouse operations including receiving, storage, order picking, and shipping.
  • Plan and optimize warehouse layout and space utilization for efficiency and product flow.
  • Ensure accurate and timely fulfillment of customer orders and adherence to delivery deadlines.
  • Collaborate with receivers and inventory staff to maintain accurate stock records and address discrepancies promptly.
  • Implement and manage inventory control systems to minimize waste, overstocking, and product spoilage.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile physical counts with digital systems.

Logistics & Delivery Management

  • Lead the planning and execution of daily delivery routes to ensure efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and service excellence.
  • Supervise delivery drivers, ensuring compliance with transportation laws, safety standards, and company policies.
  • Coordinate with the warehouse and production teams to ensure seamless order flow and loading schedules.
  • Monitor on-time delivery performance and proactively address any route or delivery challenges.
  • Oversee vehicle maintenance schedules, inspections, and documentation to ensure fleet readiness and regulatory compliance.
  • Analyze logistics data to identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the warehouse and logistics teams to achieve performance goals.
  • Partner with HR to recruit, onboard, and train team members.
  • Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, and coaching sessions to build engagement and accountability.
  • Foster a “Safety First” culture by ensuring safety training, regular safety meetings, and an open environment for reporting concerns.
  • Promote teamwork, clear communication, and professional growth across departments.

Safety, Quality & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, occupational health standards, and company policies.
  • Conduct and document regular safety and facility inspections, addressing any hazards immediately.
  • Champion continuous improvement in product quality, operational standards, and workplace safety.

Performance Monitoring & Continuous Improvement

  • Track and analyze operational KPIs such as order accuracy, delivery performance, inventory turnover, and labor efficiency.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and elevate customer experience.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Production, and Finance teams to align operations with business goals.

DESIRED PROFILE:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field (preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience in warehouse and logistics management, ideally within food manufacturing or distribution
  • Proven experience managing teams in fast-paced, high-volume environments
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse systems, inventory control, and transportation management
  • Familiarity with food safety, HACCP, and health & safety regulations
  • Proficiency in warehouse management or ERP software
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Ability to perform physical tasks and work in cold environments as needed
