Our client, a leader in the bakery ingredients space, is seeking a Senior Regulatory Specialist. This on-site position is at the forefront of ensuring products meet the highest legal, regulatory, and certification standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Own the regulatory compliance program to ensure all products meet national and international regulatory requirements.
- Manage finished product technical data and regulatory packages, ensuring compliance with kosher and spec database requirements.
- Conduct quality reviews and lead risk assessments, contribute to new product approvals and changes.
- Lead the product inactivation process and provide regulatory support to R&D teams.
- Serve as the primary contact for all regulatory matters.
- Promptly handle customer requests and manage the label generation processes.
- Participate in facility inspections as part of the HACCP and Internal Audit teams.
- Lead the supplier approval program by approving new raw materials and suppliers, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring document compliance.
- Provide immediate support to Operations and contribute to food safety initiatives including BRCGS, HACCP, GMPs, and more.
DESIRED PROFILE:
- College diploma or University degree in Chemistry, Food Science, or Microbiology, or relevant industry experience.
- More than 5 years of hands-on experience with SFCR and FDA regulations.
- Experience conducting GAP analyses on new certifications and potential program updates.
- Willing to work on-site with flexible work schedules when required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High sense of urgency and attention to detail, comfortable with tight timelines.
- Knowledge of Spec database, Genesis, Business Central and Dynamics 365 CRM is an asset.
- Experienced in quality systems such as GMP, HACCP, and BRCGS.
