Corteva Agriscience is seeking qualified candidates for a global Human Health Risk Assessor within our Global Regulatory Toxicology and Risk (RTR) function in response to increasing regulatory demands and the growth of our global plant protection business. We are seeking candidates who possess a Ph.D. in exposure science/risk assessment/toxicology/biology or related field and with experience in exposure and risk assessment. The position will be based in Milton Park, Oxfordshire, UK.
Successful candidates will represent the RTR function as the risk subject matter expert on multidisciplinary teams responsible for development, registration and re-registration of new and existing products. Routine responsibilities will include conducting consumer, bystander, and occupational risk assessments, monitoring field exposure studies, and preparing company dossiers for active substances and their products. The position will also involve close liaison with registration colleagues globally and with technical experts across a wide range of disciplines within Corteva and international regulatory authorities as well as engagement with the external scientific community on issues surrounding exposure science and risk assessment.
Successful candidates will ideally have practical experience in the field of risk assessment, and have post-graduate qualifications to Ph.D. level or equivalent. An ability to interpret data from a broad range of study types is essential. Experience of preparing expert reviews and risk assessments is important, plus experience in human exposure and risk assessment.
- Ph.D. in Exposure Science, Risk Assessment, Toxicology, Biology or a related field
- Demonstrated experience in exposure science and/or risk assessment
- Ability to effectively work in a team environment to deliver results against expectations on projects with challenging and dynamic timelines
- Demonstrated track record of initiative and innovation
- Strong communication (written and verbal) and organization skills
- Experience in agriculture is preferable.
- Ability to travel is desirable.
